Obituary

Ryan James Westrope, 29, died Oct. 22, 2018, in Portland, Oregon.

He was born March 21, 1989, in Ketchikan.

“Ryan enjoyed four-wheeling with friends,” his family writes. “He loved exploring new territory, hunting, fishing; loved being out on the boat, beachcombing, playing pool and darts, and spending time with family and friends.”

Mr.?Westrope was preceded in death by his grandfather, John Ronald Myking; and uncle, Kenneth Wallace Ecker.

He is survived by his parents, Sally and John Balch; brothers, Ben Sivertsen and Ronald Wiese; sister, Kathrine Westrope; grandmother, Katherine Myking; son, Kenneth Westrope; biological father, Donald Westrope; aunt and uncle, Shanon and Ed Louey; uncle, Stan Ecker; and many cousins.

A celebration of life and potluck will be at 4 p.m. Nov. 11, 2018, at the North Tongass Community Club.
