Obituary

Leslie Ann Killian-Soule, 58, died June 4, 2017, in Ketchikan.

She was born March 27, 1959, to Herman and Clarisa Killian in Craig. Soon after, the family moved to Ketchikan, where she attended Main School Elementary, Schoenbar Middle School and Ketchikan High School.

She married Robert T. Soule in 2007.

“Leslie was certified in medical transcription, but held the title of Domestic Goddess,” her family writes. “She loved to decorate her home, and was skilled in crochet and beading. She made beautiful jewelry, flower doilies and afghans. She also had a passion for photography and fashionable clothing.”

“Leslie loved her family,” her family writes. “All of her actions were dedicated to loving others; the way she cared for the home she shared with her husband, Robert; her devotion to her children, and dedication to her grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.

“She would often stop by the homes of family to tidy up their place, or prepare a meal, just to make their day a little easier.” her family writes. “Leslie had a kind and gentle way about her. She was a wonderful listener, full of grace and forgiveness, which she drew from her faith and often ministered to people about the love of God.”

She also was known for her friendliness. Her family writes that she knew many people, and she was “able to make time for anyone in need.

“Whenever someone encountered Leslie, she made them feel like the encounter was the best part of her day, full of laughs, hugs and catching up,” they write.

Mrs. Killian-Soule was preceded in death by her daughter, Rhawnie LeAnn Donnelly; father, Herman Killian; and sisters, Marie Killian and Beatrice Embree.

She is survived by her husband, Robert T. Soule of Ketchikan; sons, Michael (Jennifer) Donnelly of Ketchikan and Sean Tobias Donnelly of Utica, New York; granddaughters, Rylee Mae Donnelly and LeAnn Grace Donnelly; grandson, Brawley Tobias Donnelly, all of Ketchikan; mother, Clarisa Killian; sister, Kathy (Fred) Brannon of Ketchikan; brothers, Tom (Romaine) Skultka of Ketchikan and Lonnie Killian of Ketchikan; and uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephew.
