Christopher Carl Williams, 42, died June 25, 2021, in Portland, Oregon surrounded by his family.
He was born to Joe Williams Jr. and Suzanne Williams on June 22, 1979, in Anchorage. He lived in Anchorage; Saxman; Seattle; Albuquerque, New Mexico; and Portland, Oregon during his lifetime.
Williams (Kut Doos Deax`) was of the Raven Tribe and the Beaver Clan.
He earned his GED in Ketchikan and attended Portland Community College to study accounting. He worked as a home mortgage loan processor.
He married Tiffani Ivy in Portland, in 2011. They have one son, Brody (9).
“Chris was a very big hearted person who would give you the shirt off his back if that is what you needed,” his family writes. “He enjoyed dancing and singing his Tlingit songs. He was the song leader and drummer for his family when they performed together for the tourists. Chris grew up working for his Dad in his tourist business. Chris enjoyed fishing, walking, and playing ball with his son.”
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joe Williams Sr. and Elizabeth Williams, and William “Bill” and June McCullum; and uncle, William K. Williams.
He is survived by his parents; son, Brody Williams; and siblings, Nicholas Williams (Anu Roberts) of Portland, Joe Williams III (Grace Pacheco) of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Elizabeth Maixner (Patrick) of Helena, Montana, Stephani Torgessen of Anchorage, and Jonathan Williams of Ketchikan; uncles, Dan Williams, Jeff Williams (Carlin) and John McCullum (Deborah); aunts, Linda Williams, Caryl Williams and Sally Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
